Different types of professional materials (symposium, thematic presentation, poster) can be submitted to the conference. Professional materials can only be submitted electronically after registration, on the designated page (Managing Professional Materials). Submitting professional materials – irrespective of their type and number of authors – will only be successful (and they will only be reviewed) if all the authors register on the conference webpage (Registration). One participant can be indicated as first author at most two times, and in addition to this, the participant can be indicated as the chair of one symposium, as well as the opponent in one symposium. A symposium presentation, a thematic presentation or a poster can have maximum five authors.
Symposium
The chair of the symposium is responsible for its organization, moderation, as well as inviting the opponent. The symposium lasts for 90-105 minutes, it includes 4 or 5 presentations, the opponent’s evaluation, and the questions raised by the audience and their answers provided by the authors. The chair is responsible for submitting the symposium summary and the presentations’ abstracts, and only he/she receives the reviewers’ feedback, and he/she informs the other authors about this.
Thematic presentation
Thematic presentations will form part of thematic sections organized by the Scientific Program Committee. One thematic section lasts for 90-105 minutes, it includes 4 or 5 presentations, followed by questions and discussion, and it is moderated by the chair of the section assigned by the Scientific Program Committee.
Poster
Authors present their posters in poster sections that are organized by the Scientific Program Committee. The stands can hold posters of maximum A0 (841×1189 mm) or A1 (594x841mm) size. One poster section lasts for 105 minutes, it includes the individual presentation of each of the posters (maximum 6 minutes per poster), as well as questions raised by the interested and participants and their answers provided by the authors. The poster section is led by its chair who is assigned by the Scientific Program Committee.
Besides these, this year’s conference will include a roundtable discussion and workshops. The Scientific Program Committee proposes and invites the participants of the roundtable discussion, as well as the chairs of the workshops. The topic of the roundtable discussion is closely related to the main focus of the conference, while the workshops focus primarily on methodological issues, problems and opportunities affecting both public and higher education.
